With an electrical connector device according to the invention, it is possible to connect an external power supply to the vehicle battery without direct access to the battery. This is advantageous when the batteries are difficult to access. The connection may be established with conventional power connector cables. Moreover, by providing a terminal in a cavity, a firm grip by a power connector cable (i.e. an alligator clip) may be ensured as the cavity provides an electrical insulation from the vehicle frame and protects against intermittent contact between an object and the terminal.
