摘要： A clamp assembly (19) for securing a thermal sleeve (9) and an elbow (11) in a pipe assembly in a nuclear reactor (1), and a nuclear reactor (1) with such a clamp assembly is described. The clamp assembly comprises a sleeve clamp (37) adapted to be arranged surrounding the elbow (11) at the first joint (17) between the elbow (11) and the thermal sleeve (9), and comprising sleeve support means (25) adapted to extend across the first joint (17) between the elbow (11) and the thermal sleeve (9). The clamp assembly (19) comprises at least one clamp arm (27) with a first end being arranged to rest against at least one of the core shroud (7) and the core plate support ring (6), to provide a support for the positioning of the sleeve clamp (37).

The sparger T-box clamp (1000) may include an anchor plate (1004) having a draw bolt opening (1022) to receive a draw bolt (1002), a first clamp block (1006) substantially aligned at a first end (1010) of the anchor plate (1004), and a second clamp block (1008) substantially aligned at a second end (1012) of the anchor plate (1004). The anchor plate (1004) may be connected to the first clamp block (1006) by a first multiple-degree-of-freedom connection (1014). The anchor plate (1004) may be connected to the second clamp block (1008) by a second multiple-degree-of-freedom connection (1016).

摘要： A nuclear steam supply system utilizing gravity-driven natural circulation for primary coolant flow through a fluidly interconnected reactor vessel and a steam generating vessel. In one embodiment, the steam generating vessel includes a plurality of vertically stacked heat exchangers operable to convert a secondary coolant from a saturated liquid to superheated steam by utilizing heat gained by the primary coolant from a nuclear fuel core in the reactor vessel. The secondary coolant, may be working fluid associated with a Rankine power cycle turbine-generator set in some embodiments. The steam generating vessel and reactor vessel may each be comprised of vertically elongated shells, which in one embodiment are arranged in lateral adjacent relationship. In one embodiment, the reactor vessel and steam generating vessel are physically discrete self-supporting structures which may be physically located in the same containment vessel.

摘要： A fuel channel assembly (150) for a nuclear reactor may include an inner conduit (172) received within an outer conduit (174) that has an outer upper end connectable to a coolant outlet and an outer lower end. The inner conduit (172) may have an inner upper end connectable to a coolant source and an inner lower end axially spaced apart from the inner upper end and disposed within the outer conduit (174) to enable coolant to circulate from the coolant source to the coolant outlet through both the inner and outer conduits. A fuel bundle chamber (176) may be between an inner surface of the outer conduit (174) and an outer surface of the inner conduit (172) and may at least partially laterally surround the inner conduit. The fuel bundle chamber (176) fluidly connecting the inner lower end and the outer upper end to enable the coolant to flow upward through the fuel bundle chamber (176).
