摘要： The present invention provides a controller (32) that operates using two different processors (50, 52). Each processor (50, 52) performs certain predetermined functions. A control processor (50) is responsible for switching AC power distribution and control, while a message processor (52) is responsible for messaging. A polling scheme and arbitration logic (70, 72) prevent data transfers relating to these two processors (50, 52) from interfering with each other. 摘要： An instrumentation system includes a hand-held computer-based measuring meter (36) having a visual display (40) and a plurality of individual sensor modules (20, 34) that can be selectively coupled to the measuring meter for measuring one of a variety of parameters such as temperature, pressure, or the like. Each sensor module includes a sensor (22, 36) responsive to a particular stimulus, as well as a data memory (24, 38) for storing information about the sensor. When the sensor module is interconnected with the measuring meter, the measuring meter accesses the memory of the sensor module to input data corresponding to sensor type, an accuracy code, calibration point data, and a calibration date code. The measuring meter compares the calibration date code to the current date to determine whether the sensor module requires recalibration. The measuring meter uses the accuracy code data to determine the number of significant digits displayed by the visual display. The measuring meter uses the sensor type code and calibration points to calibrate the measuring meter relative to the sensor module and to select the algorithm used to compute the current value measured by the sensor module.

摘要： Method and apparatus for producing mask-configured integrated circuits which are pin, logic, and timing compatible substitutes for user-configured logic arrays (10), without the need for logic or timing simulations of the mask-configured circuit design. Scan testing networks of test blocks and modified flip-flops are included in the mask-configured substitutes to test functionality. Logic compatibility to the user-configured logic array (an FPGA) (10) is preserved by clustering together in the mask-configured integrated circuit (a gate array) (16) all of the logic gates which perform the functions of a particular FPGA logic block. Moreover, only those FPGA logic gates or functions which are used are replicated in the gate array, to conserve chip area.

摘要： To provide a tape printer capable of simply printing character strings of inputted text in a variety of text row shapes, when a character string ABCD is developed into a dot pattern data according to a pattern number 1, first the lower edge of the character pattern for character A is aligned with the alignment standard position KP1 (baseline) and arranged in the print buffer. Then the character sizes of the characters B, C, and D are each increased compared to a respective previous character by the size change amount calculated in the size change amount calculation process control. With each increase, the lower edges of the character pattern is aligned with the alignment standard position KP1 and the resultant character patterns are arranged in order in the print buffer. The character string is printed in a character string shape based on the dot pattern data developed in the print buffer so that character sizes of characters in the character string ABCD gradually increase.
