摘要： The invention relates to manufacturing low weight high quality paper suitable for use as a support layer of a release liner. A paper web is formed from pulp slurry, the moisture content of the paper web is reduced by a press section (PSEC), the paper web is supported by a belt (BELT1) from a first contact point (CP1) in the press section (PSEC) to a first separation point (SP1) in a drying section (DSEC), and the paper web is dried to form paper. The temperature profile of the paper web may be non-decreasing. When supported, the temperature of the paper web of the paper web may be higher than or equal to 56° C. to obtain a paper web having a dry content of at least 40 wt.-% at the first separation point.

摘要： A method of determining a width of a paper web during manufacturing the paper web in a papermaking machine, comprising the steps of transporting a wet paper web on a forming wire (50) in a machine direction toward a fabric (100) configured to support a wet paper web (75) for dewatering, said fabric comprising a consistently permeable portion (275) and a pair of laterally spaced apart strip portions (250) extending along the fabric (100) in the machine direction, each strip portion (250) being substantially impermeable to air and defining said permeable portion (275) therebetween, whereby the permeable portion (275) is configured to allow air directed thereat to flow therethrough, such that the wet paper web (75) supported only by the permeable portion (275) is dewatered, the wet paper web being formed on the forming wire (50) so as to be wider than the permeable portion (275) of the fabric (100), and engaging the formed wet paper web with the fabric (100) such that only the permeable portion (275) of the fabric (100) receives from the wire (50) a portion of the formed wet paper web (75') having the width corresponding to the permeable portion (275), thereby trimming the formed wet paper web (75') to the width of the permeable portion (275) such that the processed wet paper web (75) extends over the entire width of the permeable portion (275), while outer edge portions of the formed paper web (75') remain on the forming wire (50).

摘要： The object of the present invention is a method and a device for transferring a paper web from a supporting woven fabric to another. The method according to the invention and the device according to the present invention are therefore suitable, for example, for transferring a web from the wire section onto a press felt and from the press into the dryer section. The use of the method and of the device is particularly advantageous when transferring the paper web in the press section of the paper machine from the first to the second press. The key aspect of the method according to the invention and of the device according to the invention is that when detaching the paper web W from the supporting woven fabric (46) a transfer suction box (56) is used in conjunction with the felt guide roller (54), wherein the cover of said box substantially has the same direction as the paper web (W) running from the felt guide roller (54) to the subsequent roller (64) such that said cover does not change the running direction of the web W and suctions an air layer strip (200) on both sides of the web W through the woven fabric (46).
