The sealing strip (1) comprises a first material section which forms at least the sealing surface (2) and consists of a first material, and a second material section at least some sections of which form at least the front wall (6) and which consists of a second material, said first and second materials differing from one another in terms of at least one physical property such as, for example, elasticity modulus, abrasion resistance, hardness, or brittleness.

    • The invention relates to a sealing device for sealing an overpressure and a low pressure area of a roller (8) comprising a roll sleeve (10) which can be moved with respect to the sealing device. Said sealing device comprises a sealing strip (1) with an upper side which comprises a sealing surface and a lubricant groove (4) which is connected to the sealing surface and which is formed by at least one groove-like recess in the sealing strip, extending in the longitudinal direction of the sealing strip. When, according to the invention, the sealing device is correctly mounted in the roller, the sealing surface and the opening of the groove-like recess are oriented towards the inner side of the roll sleeve. Said lubricant groove is connected to at least one supply line (12) extending at least in sections inside the sealing strip, which enables the lubricant to be applied between the inner sides of the roll sleeve and the sealing surface. Said sealing strip is defined in the extension thereof by two ends (6.1, 6.2). The invention is characterized is that the sealing strip comprises, in the region of both ends, respectively a wall (7.1, 7.2) defining the lubricant groove in the extension thereof.

Said supply line comprises one part which extends inside the sealing strip and another part which extends outside of the sealing strip but inside the roll. The invention is characterized in that the part of the supply line extending inside the roll comprises, on its length extending outside of the sealing strip, a first and a second line section. The first line section (21) is longer than the second line section (22) and the second line section is more flexible than the first line section.
