摘要： The disclosure is directed to a process for producing separable iron and titanium oxides from an ore containing titanium oxide and ferric oxide, comprising: (a) forming agglomerates comprising carbon-based materials and the ore, the quantity of carbon of the agglomerates being sufficient for, at an elevated temperature, reducing ferric oxide to ferrous oxide and forming a ferrous oxide-rich molten slag, (b) introducing the agglomerates onto a carbon bed of a moving hearth furnace; (c) heating the agglomerates in the moving hearth furnace to a temperature sufficient for reducing and melting the agglomerates to produce a ferrous oxide-rich molten slag; (d) metallizing the ferrous oxide of the molten slag by reaction of the ferrous oxide and the carbon of the carbon bed at a furnace temperature sufficient for maintaining the slag in a molten state; and (e) solidifying the slag after metallization of the ferrous oxide to form a matrix of titanium oxide-rich slag having a plurality of metallic iron granules distributed there through; and (f) separating the metallic iron granules from the slag, the slag comprising greater than 85% titanium dioxide based on the entire weight of the matrix after separation of the metallic iron. The disclosure is also directed to a metallization product of a ferrous oxide-rich molten slag.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for reprocessing metallurgical dust or grinding dust, especially converter dust and arc furnace dust obtained from steel or high-grade steel production. In said method, the dust is burned and slagged with oxygen in oxidizing conditions in a melt burner (1), and the obtained slag is introduced into an inductively heated reduction furnace (17) containing a coke bed (49). Carbon monoxide formed during the reduction of the slag is withdrawn at the top of the reduction furnace (17) as gas along with Zn vapor, whereupon Zn is condensed or the gas is reformed with water or steam so as to form ZnO and hydrogen and is redirected into the melt burner (1) after separating the ZnO. The inventive apparatus for carrying out the disclosed method is characterized in that a dosing cone (3) is provided which comprises a burner lance (4) and a feeding device for the charge and which extends into a diffuser (44) via a feeding zone having a reduced cross-section and via an annular slot (41) that surrounds the burner lance (4). Furthermore, the combustion chamber (1) adjoins the diffuser (44) while an inductively heated coke column is connected to a bottom discharge port of the combustion chamber as a reduction furnace whose top end is equipped with at least one connection (56) for feeding coke as well as an exhaust gas connection (50) for withdrawing carbon monoxide and Zn vapor.

摘要： A method for recovering stainless steel from a waste stream of slags formed during the production of stainless steel under dry conditions, comprising the steps of crushing at least part of the waste stream of slags under substantially dry conditions in a primary crushing circuit to form a primary crushed fraction of waste pieces comprising stainless steel-containing scrap pieces which have been released from the slags, screening the primary crushed fraction to produce at least a primary coarse and fine subfraction, recovering stainless steel-containing scrap pieces from the primary coarse subfraction with the aid of a sensor separator, the sensor separator measuring properties of the waste pieces guided past it, in particular attenuation of inductances thereof, and the sensor separator actuating blowing nozzles as a function of the measured value in order to blow relevant stainless steel-containing scrap pieces out of the primary coarse subfraction guided past the sensor separator. Immediately after the sensor separation, slag pieces which still contain stainless steel are selected so as to be separated from slag pieces which do not contain stainless steel, by means of a neodymium magnet. The stainless steel-containing slag pieces pass through to the crushing circuit for the further release of stainless steel. The slag which does not contain stainless steel is then immediately an end product.
