摘要： An exemplary apparatus for making packages from a web of interconnected bags includes an indexing mechanism, an opening arrangement, a pair of engagement devices, and a sealing arrangement. The indexing mechanism is configured to move the web of interconnected bags along a path of travel. The opening arrangement is configured to open a bag such that an opening is formed in the bag and a product can be placed into the opening of the bag. The pair of engagement devices are configured to engage the bag and close the opening of the bag. Each engagement device includes a base member, a first link, a second link, a sliding pivot member, and a finger. The first link is pivotably connected to the base member, and the second link is pivotably connected to the first link. The sliding pivot member is configured to allow the second link to slide through the sliding pivot member and pivot in relation to the base member. The finger is connected to the second link. The pair of engagement devices are configured to pull a first side and a second side of the bag in opposite directions. The sealing arrangement is configured to seal the opening of the bag.

摘要： Automated apparatus for filling of a bag with a loose commodity comprises a bag filling station (20) for dispensing commodity into a bag; a wicket (22) for feeding a stacked and interconnected array of empty bags (46); and a conveyor (54) for removing filled bags from the filling station. Reciprocating clamps (67) grip the open mouths of the filled bags, and transfer the filled bags away from the filling station, with a subsequent bag being drawn into appropriate position for filling by means of the connection formed between the contacting bags. The conveyor comprises first and second belt assemblies (102a,b) mounted to a support frame, one of the belt assemblies being pivotally mounted to the frame at the discharge end of the conveyor.

摘要： An opening apparatus that opens continuously conveyed bags (1) with a gas supplied by nozzles (3). A plurality of nozzles (3) having conical head sections (3a) and discharge openings (3b) at the tip ends are attached to a rotation transmitting member with equal spaces in between, and this rotation transmitting member is caused to revolve at a constant speed while maintaining a horizontal attitude by means of a parallel link mechanism. The nozzles (3) revolve at a constant speed on a circular track in a vertical plane along the conveying direction of bags with the discharge openings (3b) consistently facing the bags (1). When the nozzles (3) are at the lower point on the circular track, the head sections (3a) enter into the bags (1) that are being conveyed at a constant speed, and a gas is caused to jet into the bags (1) from the discharge openings (3b), thus spread-opening the bags (1).
