摘要： An ultrasonic impact grinding assembly (10) includes a base (28) with a mount (30) for connecting a workpiece (W) to the base (28) and a first tool arm (16a). The ultrasonic impact grinding assembly also includes a second tool arm (16b). The first tool arm (16a) and the second tool arm (16b) each include a base end, a distal end, at least one joint between the base end and the distal end, and at least one actuator configured to move the at least one j oint. A first ultrasonic impact grinding tool head (42a) is connected to the distal end of the first tool arm (16a). A second ultrasonic impact grinding tool head (42b) is connected to the distal end of the second tool arm (16b).

摘要： A method of machining cooling holes (64) includes providing a workpiece (60) in which a cooling hole is to be formed. The cooling hole, once formed, defines distinct first and second sections. The workpiece (60) is secured in a fixture (82) that is mounted in a first machine (84). In the first machine (84), a laser is used to drill a through-hole in a wall of the workpiece (60). The through-hole is spatially common to the first and second sections of the cooling hole. After drilling the through-hole, the fixture (82) with the workpiece (60) secured therein is removed from the first machine (84) and mounted in a second machine (86). In the second machine (86), ultrasonic machining is used to expand a portion of the through-hole to form the second section. An abrasive slurry used in the process is drained through the through-hole during the ultrasonic machining.

摘要： A machining tool holder (100, 200) including a body (10), a horn (20, 50) and a piezoelectric actuator (32) is disclosed. The body (10) includes a center through hole (12) extending in the axial direction therein. The center through hole (12) includes a first hole section (121) and a second hole section (123). The horn (20, 50) includes a first section (22, 52) and a second section (24, 54) which are disposed coaxially and connected with each other. Part of the first section (22, 52) is slidably inserted into the first hole section (121). The second section (24, 54) is connected to the body (10) and engaged with a tool (3). Part of the surface of the second section (24, 54) contacts with a wall surface of the second hole section (123). The piezoelectric actuator (32) fits around the horn (20, 50) and is controllable to drive the tool (3) to vibrate. With this design, the machining toolholder (100, 200) could have good stiffness and connection stability, and could resist to the stress effectively.
