    • The present invention provides a slider with a simple locking mechanism which allows the slider to be operated easily and exerts its locking function accurately. In the slider of this invention, a recess (11) is made in the center of an upper wing plate (5) of a slider body (1) thereof and engaging posts (17) are provided on the front and back of the slider body (1). Two pawl holes (13) are provided in a bottom portion (12) of the recess (11) and supporting pieces (14) are provided on the right and left sides so as to be erected. Guide grooves (16) are provided in side walls (15) of the recess (11). A pawl body (2) includes locking pawls (24) provided on the right and left of a bottom face thereof in which a top face (21) thereof is formed in a mountain shape and their phases are deviated by half pitch and guide protruding portions (26) protruding from the side walls (25). A pull tab (3) has a pintle (29) on an end thereof and a cam (30) is provided in the center of the pintle (29). A cover (4) is a rectangular prism and has front and rear engaging holes (35) which are capable of engaging the engaging posts (17). The guide protruding portions (26) of the pawl body (2) are inserted into the guide grooves (16) of the recess (11) and the pull tab (3) is placed on the supporting pieces (14) from above. Then, the cover (4) is mounted. When the pull tab (3) is raised or hung, the pawl body (2) moves up and down, so that the locking pawls (24) enter in between fastener elements by pressure.

    • The invention relates to a slider for a zip fastener, which slider comprises a lower part (4), an upper part (3) and a puller (2). The lower part (4) and the upper part (3) are interconnected by means of a hinge, whereby the slider can be set in an open and a closed condition, respectively. The puller (2), which is made of a resilient material and constitutes the part that the user holds when using the slider, comprises locking pins (6) for locking the lower part (4) and the upper part (3) in the closed condition, and also dividing shoulders (9). The lower part (4) comprises a hole (7) which can receive the locking pins (6) of the puller (2) in order to lock the lower part and the upper part in the closed condition. The upper part (3) comprises a cradle (13) for the locking pins 6 of the puller (2) and also a slanted dividing body (10), which is capable of separating the dividing shoulders (9) and therewith the locking pins (6) of the puller. Further, the upper part (3) comprises two hinge taps (14) and the lower part (4) comprises an area (15, 16, 17) for cooperation with said hinge taps, whereby the hinge between the lower part and the upper part is formed through cooperation between the hinge taps (14) and the area (15, 16, 17). The invention further pertains to a method for assembly of the slider (1). According to the method, the upper part is mounted to the lower part by pressing the upper part onto the lower part straight from above, whereby the hinge is formed through cooperation between the hinge taps (14) and the area (15, 16, 17).
