摘要： The present invention relates to apparatus for use with a telephone system having a plurality of stations each of which becomes active when the station goes off-hook and one of a plurality of keys at the station is actuated for selecting one of a plurality of outside central office (CO) lines connected to the stations through a key service unit (KSU). The apparatus of the present invention comprises a station control unit (SCU) associated with each station for connecting the same to the KSU; and a main control unit (MCU) by which the KSU is connected to the outside CO lines. The MCU comprises a microprocessor-operated central control; and a multistate line control unit (LCU) operatively associated with each outside CO line for connecting each station in parallel to the selected CO line and/or to the central control in accordance with the state of the LCU operatively associated with the selected CO line. The present invention provides for effecting addressing between the MCU and the SCU's and for controlling the state of the LCU's as a consequence of such addressing when the MCU is operative such that the MCU manages connections of the system to the CO lines and signalling between the stations according to a predetermined plan contained in the control unit. With the arrangement described above, the MCU intercepts and controls internal dialing from the stations of the system selectively controlling, for example, access of the stations, or individuals using the system, to the CO lines.

摘要： An open, high speed, high bandwidth digital communication network for connecting multiple programmable telecommunications switches to form a large capacity, non-blocking switching system. Each network switching node includes circuitry for transmitting and receiving variable-length, packetized information over the network, thus enabling each node to receive information from or transmit information to all other nodes. The network may carry any type of information present in the system including voice, data, video, multimedia, control, configuration and maintenance, and the bandwith of the network may be divided or shared across various information types. Devices such as voice processing resources may also interface with the network, thereby gaining direct access to all information passing through the network. Also provided are methods and packet structures for communicating information over the network. Multiple networks may be interconnected to provide even greater switching capacity or voice processing capacity.

摘要： An integrated services platform for a telephone communication system includes a plurality of application processing ports for providing different types of information services through the telephone communication system. A master control unit (24) and a high speed digital switch (26) control processing of incoming phone calls to a recognize the type of service being requested by a subscriber and non-subscriber, and route the call to the appropriate application processing port which is capable of providing the requested service. Application processing ports can be provided to implement a number of information services including videotex, voice, speech synthesis, E-mail, facsimile store and forward, speech recognition, telex, residential call answering, business voice messaging, home shopping, classified advertising, trucking dispatch, doctor's register and automated attendant. In this manner, a centrally located services platform can be provided to provide a number of different types of service to the user.

摘要： In a user-interactive display-based system (FIG. 1), the present invention permits an automatic display of a repertoire of command items (FIG. 4) most likely to be utilized by a user, thus providing one-touch access to such items without requiring either explicit programming of a command repertoire or a search by the user through the history of previous commands. 摘要： Conventional telephone answering device incorporated in or combined with a telephone set is now generally used. However, the conventional telephone set has a plurality of buttons, for instance, speed dialing, mute, flash or radial buttons, and further the telephone answering device incorporated in the telephone set has also many buttons for controlling the device. So the user is confused at the sight of a number of buttons and he hesitates to use the device. Most conventional telephone answering device can be remotely operated from remote location by using ten keys, and asterisk and pound sign keys of a push phone, so as to rewind, fast forward, or record an outgoing and incoming message. The present invention makes the common use of push phone button for telephone set and telephone answering device, and also the telephone answering device can be manually operated at home in same way as in remote control operation by using some kind of push phone buttons of outside telephone set. The present invention also makes it possible to record two-way conversation manually by use of some of ten-key buttons during off-hook mode of telephone set.
