摘要： A display matrix is provided for forming a composite image from a series of sub-images. In general, the display matrix includes a plurality of display elements (1014), each display element including a pixel, and a display circuit electrically connected to the pixel. An illumination source (3002) illuminates each of the pixels. Logic controls (3016) the intensity of each pixel utilizing a digitally controlled waveform for controlling a duration of time that illumination is allowed to pass through liquid crystal of the display elements (3014). Intensity values for each pixels are stored in memories (3006,3010) that are associated with the individual pixels of a display. Each of the pixels is set to a first state. A first intensity level is broadcast to the pixels. The first intensity level is analyzed (3004) with the intensity value stored in the pixel memories (3006,3010).

摘要： A display apparatus includes an array of light modulators. Each light modulator has a first actuator configured to drive the light modulator into a first state and a second actuator configured to drive the light modulator into a second state. The display apparatus also includes a control matrix including, for each light modulator in the array, a single actuation voltage interconnect. The actuation voltage interconnect is configured to apply a first drive voltage to the first actuator of the light modulator and apply a second drive voltage to the second actuator of the light modulator. In addition, the actuation voltage interconnect is configured to control application of a data voltage to a latch circuit to control the application of the first and second drive voltages to the first and second actuators.

摘要： A control circuit for a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) has a semiconductor switch which has a source, a drain and a gate, which is associated with a selected one of spatially arranged fixed and movable plates of a variable capacitor, and is arranged to selectively connect the selected one of the fixed and movable plates with a voltage source. A charge injection control circuit is associated with the semiconductor switch and attenuates current injection into the selected one of the fixed and movable plates of the capacitor.

摘要： A liquid crystal display panel (1) of the present invention is a liquid crystal display panel (1) of an active matrix type, increasing a voltage applied to liquid crystals by applying a voltage to each storage capacitor line (CS) connected to a storage capacitor (13) in each of pixels, the voltage applied to the liquid crystals being increased when an image is to be displayed, the pixels being connected to the each storage capacitor line (CS) in such a manner that a plurality of pixels of one specific primary color are connected to a specific storage capacitor line (CS), the plurality of pixels of the one specific primary color being in a horizontal row of a display region (2) of the liquid crystal display panel (1), the plurality of pixels each being connected to the specific storage capacitor line (CS) via the storage capacitor (13), the pixels each including a drain electrode of a switching element (11) to which a voltage is applied, the voltage applied to the drain electrode taking a value in accordance with an effective voltage to be applied to the storage capacitor (13), the value corresponding to the specific one primary color of each of the pixels including the storage capacitor (13). This makes it possible to prevent deterioration in display quality of a display image, in the liquid crystal display panel (1) which is configured to apply a voltage to the storage capacitor (13) in each of the pixels so as to increase a voltage applied to the liquid crystals.
