    • Systems and methods are provided for implementing adaptive rasterized print data management. The printing system ( figure 1 ) is able to acquire a print job and instructions for printing multiple copies of the job. The control unit (151) is also able to initiate processing of a first copy of the print job, to instruct a Raster Image Processor (RIP 152) to rasterize a data segment of the print job, and to determine a transfer time to transfer the rasterized data segment to a marking engine (155) if it were stored at a first memory (154). Further, the control unit is able to determine a threshold value, and to facilitate storage of the rasterized data segment at a second memory (153) if the transfer time is greater than the threshold value.

    • An imaging cartridge memory chip parameter sending method, memory chip, and imaging cartridge, the method comprising the following steps: receiving an instruction sent by a print imaging device; if said instruction is determined to be a key parameter read instruction, then sending said key parameters to said print imaging device, the key parameters being generated by the memory chip itself. In the present application, the parameters needing to be read by the print imaging device are generated by the memory chip itself; when the print imaging device sends a read instruction, the parameters generated by the memory chip are sent to the print imaging device; the print imaging device cannot directly read the parameters at any time; in this way, the malicious acquisition of certain important parameters from the memory chip is prevented. Additionally, a compatible manufacturer or original equipment manufacturer of memory chips does not need to store specific parameters in their entirety on the memory chip, and can prevent a competitor from directly reading the memory chip and obtaining certain important parameters, thus protecting certain important parameters in the memory chip.
