    • Die Erfindung betrifft einen Stiftzylinderextruder bestehend aus einem Zylinder und einer in diesem rotierbar gelagerten Schnecke mit einem das Extrudat fördernden Gewinde, in welches in Radialebenen Nuten eingeschnitten sind, in welche im oder am Zylinder befestigte, in den Zylinder radial hineinragende Stifte eingreifen. Es ist die Aufgabe der Erfindung, eine einfache Möglichkeit zu schaffen, um ohne Verschlechterung der Ausstoßleistung grobe Materialanteile auf kurzem Wege aufzuschließen und zu plastifizieren und so auf kurzem Wege zu hervorragend homogenisierten Extrudaten zu gelangen. Die Erfindung besteht darin, daß bei einem Stiftzylinderextruder der eingangs genannten Art beidseits mindestens einer Stiftebene in das Gewinde der Schnecke ein weiteres Gewinde höherer Gangzahl und größerer Steigung, aber niedrigerer Gangtiefe und vorzugsweise auch niedrigerer Gangbreite eingeschnitten ist. Durch diese Kombination ist erreicht, daß die Plastifizierwirkung stark erhöht wird, ohne daß die Ausstoßleistung gemindert wird. Der Extruder kann somit kürzer gebaut werden und im ganzen auch kleiner dimensioniert werden. Trotzdem ist die Homogenisierung hervorragend gut.
