    • It is an object of the present invention to prevent recurrence of an overload condition after occurrence of the overload condition, thereby improving operability and safety in a drilling device. A motor 12 for rotating a drill is connected to an AC power source 10 through a motor control unit 28, a current detector 30, and a power switch 36. A magnet 16 is also connected to the AC power source 10 through the power switch 36 and a full-wave rectifier 18. The motor control unit 28 rotationally drives the motor on the basis of a signal sent from a main control unit according to a state in which a motor start switch 38 is on. The main control unit 14 controls the motor control unit 28 to gradually reduce a supply voltage to the motor 12 when the motor 12 becomes overloaded, to gradually increase the voltage to the normal power supply condition when the overload condition is vanished, and to stop power supply to the motor 12 if the overload condition continues for a predetermined period.

    • An automatic grinding apparatus comprises an electronic grinder containing a motor whose load current increases or decreases due to the metal removal quantity per unit hour, a travelling device moving said grinder three-dimensionally over the grinding surface, a sliding device adjusting the distance between said grinder and an object to be ground, and a control device controlling said sliding device to keep the load current of the grinding motor constant. An articulated type or a cartesian coordinate type robot is used for the travelling device. The automatic grinding apparatus starts the grinding motor at first with travelling device halted at the grinding initiation, permits said grinder to approach the object to be ground after a certain time, and starts the travelling device simultaneously or a little later after detecting that the abrasive grinding disk has contacted the object to be ground due to the variation of the load current of the grinding motor. Further the apparatus recovers respective relative positions of the grinder and the sliding device to a certain condition by regulating the operation time of an elevation motor of the sliding device or by directly detecting a location of the slider of the sliding device before and after a grinding process. Said automatic grinding apparatus is available for grinding such as removing excess weld metal, deburring or chamferring the work piece.

    • A general-purpose software servo controller for an electrically powered injection molding machine is provided which is capable of changing the servo con­trol constant without replacing hardware and controll­ing the torque appropriately. In accordance with a ser­vo control program, a microprocessor (13) for servo finds an instruction current based upon a position de­viation found from both the output of pulse coder (5) and the movement instruction and based upon a change in the pulse coder output. The microprocessor (13) then sends the deviation between the instruction current and the output of a power amplifier (6) to the power amplifier (6) to control the servo motor (2). The output of the power amplifier is limited to be smaller than the instruction torque based on the output of a pressure sensor (4) and the instruction torque.
