    • A method for connecting a number of users with at least one signal bearing optical fiber contained in an optical cable. The method includes: a) interrupting the signal bearing optical fiber at a first branch point, obtaining a first optical fiber segment upstream of the branch point and a second optical fiber segment downstream of the branch point; b) providing an optical splitter at the branch point, the optical splitter including an input and two outputs; c) coupling the first optical fiber segment with the input of the optical splitter; d) coupling a first output of the optical splitter with a first user; e) coupling a second output of the optical splitter with a downstream optical fiber segment of an interrupted optical fiber contained in the optical cable; and f) coupling the downstream optical fiber segment with at least one further user at a further branch point downstream the first branch point.

    • The present disclosure relates to a fiber optic network including a fiber distribution hub having a cabinet, an optical splitter within the cabinet, a hub termination region within the cabinet, a signal input location and an output cable connection location. The fiber optic network also includes a fiber distribution terminal including a terminal housing, a terminal termination region and a terminal spool. The fiber optic network further includes a wall box having a wall box enclosure, a fiber optic adapter positioned at the wall box enclosure and a wall box spool. A first fiber optic cable is wrapped around the terminal spool. The first fiber optic cable interconnects the fiber distribution terminal to the output cable connection location of the fiber distribution hub. The terminal spool rotates about a first axis to allow the first fiber optic cable to be dispensed from the terminal spool. A second fiber optic cable is wrapped around the wall box spool. The second fiber optic cable is optically connected to the fiber distribution terminal. The wall box spool rotates about a second axis to allow the second fiber optic cable to be dispensed from the wall box spool.

    • A fiber optic cable distribution box comprises a base (12), a drum region (20) that extends axially upward from a central portion of the base, the drum region including an outer cylindrical wall (22) defining an outside diameter sufficient to allow a length of a fiber optic cable to be wound on the wall for storage or retention, with at least the minimum bend diameter specified for the cable. An inside end portion of the fiber optic cable enters a cable entry port in the drum outer wall into an interface compartment (30) that is disposed atop the drum region and which has a peripheral side wall (31). The interface compartment is dimensioned and formed to allow a first set of optical fibers to connect with a second set of optical fibers by a number of optical adapters (42). The fiber optic cable distribution box is configured such that the fiber optic cable can be paid off from the drum region by freely turning the fiber optic cable distribution box that includes the drum region and the interface compartment about an axis of the outer cylindrical wall of the drum region. The drum region therefore comprises an inner cylindrical tube (60) for receiving a spooling tool.
