摘要： A system for cooling charge air from a turbo- or supercharger and exhaust gas recirculated from an exhaust gas recirculation valve in an internal combustion engine. The system includes a radiator and parallel charge air and exhaust gas heat exchanger units, the charge air heat exchanger unit having aluminum tubes and fins for air cooling the charge air, and the exhaust gas heat exchanger unit having stainless steel tubes and fins. The charge air heat exchanger and the exhaust gas heat exchanger units are each disposed adjacent the radiator, on the same or opposite sides. Alternatively, there is provided a pair of combined charge air cooler and exhaust gas cooler heat exchanger units, with a first heat exchanger unit having stainless steel tubes and fins, and a second heat exchanger unit having aluminum tubes and fins. The heat exchanger units are disposed on opposites sides of the radiator.

摘要： A tractor cooling installation has an engine cooling radiator (11) fixed relative to the tractor (16), a first inner bank of one or more coolers (12,13) pivoted on the radiator on a first frame (17) for upward pivoting movement away from the radiator about a first generally horizontal pivot axis (18) transverse to the tractor and a second outer bank of one or more coolers (14) also pivoted on the radiator on a second frame (20) for upward pivoting movement away from the first inner bank of coolers about a second generally horizontal pivot axis transverse to the tractor. A first cooler (12) from the first bank of coolers is mounted on the first frame (17) for pivoting upwardly with the first frame away from the radiator and a second cooler (13) which also forms part of the first bank of coolers is pivotally supported at its upper end by the first frame about a third generally horizontal axis (26). The lower end of the second cooler (13) is attached to the tractor by pivoting link means (27) so that as the first frame (17) pivots upwardly about the first axis (18) the second cooler pivots (13) relative to the first frame (20) about the third axis (26) to a location spaced from the first cooler (12) and the radiator (11).

摘要： The invention relates to a heat exchange unit for a motor vehicle comprising a heat engine which is equipped with a high-temperature cooling system and a low-temperature cooling system. The inventive unit comprises at least one row of heat exchange tubes (102), which is connected to at least one inlet manifold chamber (58, 64, 66) and at least one outlet manifold chamber (60, 62, 68), said tubes forming a heat exchange surface. The invention also comprises surface distribution means (110, 42, 44) which can be used to divide the heat exchange surface into a high-temperature heat exchange section and a low-temperature heat exchange section. At least one of the heat exchangers has a side defined by an outwardly opening channel (30, 32) which in turn receives a plastic bar or strip (18, 20). The bar is provided with a plurality of relatively deep recesses (70) which are alignable with holes (40) in the channel. The bottoms of the recesses are sufficiently thin as to be easily penetrable by a threaded fastener extending through the holes in the channel and into the recesses for securing components of the module together and yet are sufficiently thick as to prevent the flow of fluid through the recesses to thereby assure that heat exchange fluid will pass through the heat exchangers.
