摘要： A solar concentrating system having a mechanism that corrects the inclination angle of a mirror reflector caused by wind pressure is provided. A solar concentrating system 100 comprises a heliostat 2, an anemometer 4 and a controller 10. The heliostat 2 has a motor 23 configured to adjust a direction of a mirror reflector 26. The controller 10 is configured to output a target angle command to the motor 23. The target angle command includes a target angle first element and a target angle second element. The target angle first element is determined so that reflected light is directed toward a predetermined target position. The target angle second element is determined, based on wind direction and wind speed measured by the anemometer 4, so as to correspond to an estimated value of a twist angle, caused by wind pressure, from an output shaft of an actuator to a support shaft of the mirror reflector.

Each PV module includes a plurality of PV cells arranged in a plurality of cell rows, the PV cells in each cell row being electrically connected in parallel to each other, and the plurality of cell rows being electrically connected in series to each other. Each reflector row includes a plurality of reflectors. The reflector rows are interposed between the module rows such that each reflector row is mechanically interconnected between two adjacent module rows and is arranged to reflect light having some incident angles on to one of the two adjacent module rows.

摘要： A photovoltaic (“PV”) array includes a plurality of interconnected PV modules. A PV array perimeter assembly may be positioned along the perimeter of the PV array to restrain horizontal movement of the array. For improved wind performance, the PV array perimeter assembly may include curbs that come with pre-attached flexible wind deflectors configured to prevent wind from penetrating underneath the PV array. The flexible wind deflectors may be made of a flexible membrane and may include water drainage holes to allow water to flow out of the PV array. The curbs do not necessarily have to be fixedly attached to a rooftop, and may include ballasts to prevent array movement. Embodiments of the invention may be employed on PV arrays installed on flat rooftops, and are especially advantageous when used on uneven roof surfaces.

摘要： Each PV assembly of an array of PV assemblies comprises a base, a PV module and a support assembly securing the PV module to a position overlying the upper surface of the base. Vents are formed through the base. A pressure equalization path extends from the outer surface of the PV module, past the PV module, to and through at least one of the vents, and to the lower surface of the base to help reduce wind uplift forces on the PV assembly. The PV assemblies may be interengaged, such as by interengaging the bases of adjacent PV assemblies. The base may include a main portion and a cover and the bases of adjacent PV assemblies may be interengaged by securing the covers of adjacent bases together.

摘要： A photovoltaic roofing assembly comprises a roofing membrane ( 102 ), a plurality of photovoltaic modules ( 104, 106, 108 ) disposed as a layer on top of the roofing membrane ( 102 ), and a plurality of pre-formed spacers, pedestals or supports ( 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122 ) which are respectively disposed below the plurality of photovoltaic modules ( 104, 106, 108 ) and integral therewith, or fixed thereto. Spacers ( 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122 ) are disposed on top of roofing membrane ( 102 ). Membrane ( 102 ) is supported on conventional roof framing, and attached thereto by conventional methods. In an alternative embodiment, the roofing assembly may have insulation block ( 322 ) below the spacers ( 314, 314', 315, 315 '). The geometry of the pre-formed spacers ( 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 314, 314', 315, 315 ') is such that wind tunnel testing has shown its maximum effectiveness in reducing net forces of wind uplift on the overall assembly. Such construction results in a simple, lightweight, self-ballasting, readily assembled roofing assembly which resists the forces of wind uplift using no roofing penetrations.

摘要： A solar concentrator has frame members connected together to form a framework, and a flexible sheet attached to the framework such that the flexible sheet takes a loose shape and can flex in response to shaping forces exerted thereon. The sheet has a reflective surface located between the frame members. A shaping force system is operative, when activated, to exert the shaping forces on the sheet, the shaping forces configured to draw the sheet from the loose shape into a desired shape such that solar rays striking the reflective surface are focused on a target, and a solar energy receiver is attached to the framework at a location corresponding to the target. Thin wall tubing filled with pressurized air can provide strong light frame members. When the shaping force system is deactivated, the flexible sheet reverts substantially to the loose shape.
