摘要： A solar tracking system with a plurality of tracking assemblies moved by a single motor. A method and system that prevents overloading the motor or tripping a circuit breaker due to an obstructed or impeded tracker includes sensing movement of the tracker assemblies and entering into obstruction clearing modes. Obstruction clearing mode 1 (OCM1) is a high frequency adjustable mode that prompts movement for an adjustable period of time. If movement commences, the system returns to a normal mode. If there is no movement, the system enters into an obstruction clearing mode 2 (OCM2) with is an adjustable lower frequency series of attempts. If there is no movement, no further attempts are made. Each of these steps are monitored and controlled remotely. There are two types of secure connections for drivelines, torque tubes or affixing driveline linkages for high torque conditions.

摘要： A deviation between an inlet-outlet temperature difference of a first superheater part and an inlet-outlet temperature difference of each of second superheater parts can be reduced so that a difference in thermal expansion between the first superheater part and the second superheater part can be reduced. It is therefore possible to avoid damage on heat transfer pipes. A solar collector for a solar heat boiler is provided with: cylindrical headers (1,3,5) which are connected to opposite end portions of heat transfer pipes; and a solar heat collection portion including the heat transfer pipes and membrane bars fixing the heat transfer pipes to one another; wherein: the cylindrical headers include an inlet header (1) into which a fluid to be heated flows, an intermediate header (3) which is disposed in a position opposed to the inlet header (1) with interposition of the heat transfer pipes, and two outlet headers (5,5) which are provided to extend on opposite end sides of the inlet header and through which the fluid from the intermediate header can be discharged to the outside; and the solar heat collection portion includes a first superheating portion (2) which has a group of the heat transfer pipes connected between the inlet header (1) and the intermediate header (3) so as to form a center region of the solar heat collection portion, and second superheating portions (4,4) which have groups of the heat transfer pipes connected between the intermediate header (3) and the two outlet headers (5) so as to be formed on opposite sides of the first superheating portion (2) respectively.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for positioning a reflective surface in relation to the sun, so that the reflected light falls on a target point, using a solar sensor and a two-axes angular mechanism. The method can be used to position a reflective surface (R) in relation to the sun (S), said reflective surface being mounted on a mechanical system having two axes of rotation (azimuth-elevation), using a solar sensor (1) that is positioned facing the reflective surface in a fixed orientation. The solar sensor measures the angles (2) formed by the projected incident light vectors in relation to two orthogonal planes (4). The method is applied independently and simultaneously to both axes of rotation and can be used to calculate the relative position of the ray (3) reflected from the reflective surface in relation to the orthogonal planes (4) of the solar sensor (1). Once the relative position is known, the position of the reflective surface (R) is altered in both independent axes, by means of a suitable movement of two motors, until the relative position (2) of the reflected ray (3) coincides with the perpendicular of the solar sensor (1).

摘要： In a solar concentrator of a type having a curved mirror adapted to focus light onto an energy collecting body mounted at the mirror's focal axis, an alignment correction apparatus and method includes a linear array of light detectors adapted to be mounted at a bottom of and across a centerline of the curved mirror so as to intercept the shadow cast by the energy collecting body mounted along the focal axis. Outputs of each of the detectors are measured and plotted according to an order of arrangement of the light detectors on the array. The output results in a dip across adjacent detectors when a shadow falls across the array. A shadow detection means is adapted to determine a center point of the dip and correction means are configured to output a correction command if the center point is different from an optimal position.

摘要： The present invention relates to apparatus and methods to provide a control system for the purpose of redirecting light from a source onto a target. The present invention appreciates that the diffraction pattern for light that is both diffracted and re-directed by a heliostat is a function of how the light redirecting element is aimed. This means that the aim of the light redirecting element can be precisely determined once the aim of the diffracted light is known. Advantageously, the characteristics of diffracted light indicative of how the diffracted light is aimed can be determined from locations outside the zone of concentrated illumination in which sensors are at undue risk. This, in turn, means that diffracted light characteristics can be detected at a safe location, and this information can then be used to help precisely aim the light redirecting element onto the desired target, such as a receiver in a CSP system. The aim of the diffracted light is thus an accurate proxy for the light beam to be aimed at the receiver.
