摘要： Disclosed herein is a valve apparatus for vehicles that is configured such that the sealability of a valve body can be markedly enhanced. The valve apparatus includes a valve body, a valve member and a sealing unit. The valve body is provided with at least two ports and has an internal space communicating with the ports. The valve member is rotatably installed in the internal space so as to open or close the ports. The sealing unit is provided to seal at least one of the ports. The sealing unit includes a sealing body airtightly installed on an inner surface of the corresponding port, and at least one elastic element integrally provided on a first end of the sealing body. The elastic element axially applies elastic force to the sealing body so that a second end of the sealing body comes into airtight contact with the valve member.

摘要： A flow control valve includes a housing forming internal passages in fluid communication with a port of the valve, and an internal cavity. A flow direction block is disposed in the internal cavity and forms at least one flow passage extending through a portion thereof. The flow direction block is moveable within the internal cavity such that the free ends of the least one flow passage can be selectively aligned with a respective internal passage along an interface as the flow direction block is moved from a first, closed position to a second, open position. A seal is disposed around each interface and includes an internal face, which presses against an outer surface of the flow direction block, and an external face, which presses against the housing. Sealing function is improved, at least in part, by a differential fluid pressure that acts on the seal.

摘要： To provide a coolant control valve apparatus using a rotary valve that can suppress involvement of an extraneous material and can rotate a rotor even when such an extraneous material is involved.
In an engine cooling system provided with a main channel 4 that connects an engine 1 and a radiator 3, a coolant control valve apparatus 10 that controls a flow rate of coolant water in the main channel 4 has a main valve 11 that is the rotary valve. The main valve 11 includes a rotor 12 and a casing 20 that has an inner peripheral surface facing an outer peripheral surface of this rotor 12, and a gap is provided between the outer peripheral surface of the rotor 12 and the inner peripheral surface of the casing 20. The inner peripheral surface of the casing 20 has a main opening part 30 that is connected to the main channel 4, and this main opening part 30 is provided with a sealing member that protrudes to the outer peripheral surface of the rotor 12 so as to be in touch with the outer peripheral surface of the rotor 12. This sealing member composes a channel that connects an opening part of the rotor 12 and an opening part of the casing 20.
