    • A rotation transmitter includes: a first member (10), an intermediate member (30) and a second member (20) that are arranged coaxially with a rotation axis (A). The rotation transmitter further includes: a preload device (51,52) that biases the bearing surface (13,23) and the middle bearing surface (33,34) in a direction approaching each other.

    • A gas bearing assembly for a gas bearing spindle. The assembly comprises a housing portion (11) and an inner radial bearing portion (10) disposed within and resiliently mounted relative to the housing portion.
