    • It is an object of the invention to, even in the case where transported liquid containing a sedimenting material such as slurry is used, prevent the sedimenting material from stagnating and collecting in an extending and contracting portion of a bellows. In order to attain the object, a bellows 7 that is extendingly and contractingly deformable in the axial direction is placed in a pump body 1 with setting the axis B of the bellows vertical so as to be driven to perform extending and contracting deformation, and form a liquid chamber 9 inside the bellows 7. A suction port 18 and a discharge port 19 are formed in an inner bottom face 4a of the pump body 1 facing the liquid chamber 9. Liquid is sucked from the suction port 18 into the liquid chamber 9 by extension of the bellows 7, and the liquid in the liquid chamber 9 is discharged from the discharge port 1 by contraction of the bellows 7. The extending and contracting portion of the bellows 7 which is configured by forming ridge-like folds 71 and valley-like folds 72 in a vertically alternate and continuous manner is formed into a shape in which the lower one of upper and lower lamella portions 71a and 71b of each of the ridge-like folds 71, or the lower lamella portion 71b is downward inclined as moving toward the axis B, not only in an extending state but also in a contracting state. Even in the case where liquid containing a sedimenting material such as slurry is used, therefore, the sedimenting material can be prevented from sedimenting and stagnating in the extending and contracting portion of the bellows 7.

    • A peristaltic pump for propelling liquid through a flexible tube segment. The pump has a cam shaft which carries a plurality of cams each having a driving surface. The driving surfaces of adjacent cams sre spaced at an angle to each other about the cam shaft. The pump also has a plurality of cam followers which are each reciprocal in a common direction perpendicular to the axis of the cam shaft. Each cam follower has a cam surface riding on the driving surface of a cam and a tube engaging surface for engaging the flexible tube segment. At least one of the cam followers is a restriction cam follower of which the tube engaging surface engages the flexible tube segment for a longer period than that of the other cam followers. The pump also has a motor for rotating the cam shaft whereby the cams cause the cam followers to each engage and occlude the flexible tube segment to form a propagating depression wave in the flexible tube segment for propelling liquid. The restriction cam followers prevent back flow of the liquid.

    • The invention relates to a tube pump comprising a tube and a pump element inserted in the tube, where the pump element comprises a rod element and a first and a second non-return valve member positioned a distance apart on the rod element. The valve members are oriented in the same direction relative to the rod element so as to allow for a fluid flow in the tube through the first valve member, along the rod element, and through the second valve member. The tube comprises an at least partly flexible tube portion between the valve members such that a repeated deformation of the flexible tube portion acts to alternately close and open the valve members thereby generating a fluid flow through the tube.
      The invention further relates to a pump element comprising at least two non-return valve members connected by a rod element, and for insertion in an at least partly flexible tube in such tube pump as mentioned above, thereby acting to generate a fluid flow through the tube upon repeated deformation of the tube between the two valve members.
      The pump element may comprise a connecting part for coupling to another tube and may comprise a sealing part establishing a fluid tight connection to a part of the tube.
      The invention further relates to a method for creating a flow of a fluid within an at least partly flexible tube by means of a pump element as mentioned above.
