摘要： The invention relates to a honeycomb body (14) with multiple sheet metal layers (1, 2, 3, 4) which together form a central electrically conductive current path (23) and which is electrically connected to a connecting pin (12). The honeycomb body (14) has a metal casing (7) which determines an inner circumference (I) and through which the connecting pin (12) is guided in a feedthrough (10) in an electrically insulating manner. The sheet metal layers (1, 2, 3, 4) are coarsely structured (2) and finely structured or smooth (1) sheets which are arranged alternately and which together form a stack (5) with an uppermost (3) and a lowermost (4) sheet metal layer, said stack having between the sheet metal layers (1, 2, 3, 4) channels (15) through which a gas can flow in an axial direction (A). The invention is characterized in that the connecting pin (12) runs in a radial direction (R) and is metallically connected to at least two of the sheet metal layers (1, 2, 3, 4), preferably to all of the sheet metal layers, directly or via at least one intermediate piece (9) by means of an electrically conductive connection (13), which is produced in particular by means of resistance welding. The electrical resistance per unit of length of the central current path (23) in the connection region (6) is maximally 10% greater than an average electrical resistance per unit of length of the central current path in the stack (5). The uppermost sheet metal layer (3) in the stack (5) runs approximately parallel to the metal casing (7) over at least 35%, preferably at least 40%, of the inner circumference (I) and is separated there from the metal casing by an air gap (8). The invention allows simple manufacture of a honeycomb body (14) which operates in a reliable manner and which can be electrically heated in a highly uniform manner.

摘要： An exhaust gas purification apparatus 10 includes an engine 20, a manifold 22 connected to the engine 20 and through which exhaust gas generated by burning fuel flows, and a casing 26 connected to the manifold 22 and holding a honeycomb filter 30 with a catalyst carried thereon, and is mounted on a vehicle. In the exhaust gas purification apparatus 10, the honeycomb filter 30 is disposed in a position such that the length of an exhaust gas route between the uppermost upstream portion of the manifold 22 through which exhaust gas flows and the head portion of the honeycomb filter 30 is 1 m or less. The honeycomb filter 30 has a porosity of 70% or more. It is formed by laminating plate-like members provided with a plurality of through holes in a longitudinal direction in such a manner in which the through holes are communicated with each other. Alternate end faces of the communicated through holes are sealed. The honeycomb filter 30 may be formed of an inorganic fiber (ceramic fiber and metal fiber) and/or an inorganic foam (ceramic foam and metal foam).

摘要： To enhance the catalytic activity of plate-type catalytic converters the invention provides that a plate-type catalytic converter comprising multiple plates (2, 4) coated with a catalytically active substance and arranged in a unit casing has means (6, 14, 16, 20, 22) for diverting the flow medium from a main flow direction (12) at least partly within the same reaction space (24, 26) and at least partly into adjacent reaction spaces (24, 26). An alternative solution is provided by diverting the flow medium at least partly from the main flow direction (112) in at least one reaction space (106, 136) by means of a structure (108, 110, 132, 134) and arrangement of the plates (102, 104, 126, 128) or adjacent plates (102, 104, 126, 128) in relation to each other. A reaction space is delimited between every two immediately adjacent plates and the unit casing which is permeable to the flow medium on inflow and outflow sides. With the resulting high-level turbulence of the flow medium the flow guidance-induced contribution to the catalytic activity of the plate-type catalytic converter is increased. The invention can essentially be used with all plate-type catalytic converters through which a liquid or gas medium flows.

This stack joined together with electrically heatable foils (17) to form a unit can likewise be catalytically coated following final assembly and thus forms a heatable catalytic converter.
