    • A motor-vehicle component, in particular a particulate-filter unit for diesel engines, comprises a main body (2) provided with attachments for connection to the structure of the motor vehicle and an additional body (4) connected to said main body (2) and in turn connected to the structure of the motor vehicle by means of a connection device that is able to compensate for dimensional variations due to manufacturing tolerances. This connection device comprises a connection flange (6) associated to said additional body (4), and a main connection screw (7) for fixing the additional body (4) to a respective supporting member (8) forming part of the supporting structure of the motor vehicle, or rigidly connected thereto. The connection flange (6) has an eyelet (60) for engagement of the main connection screw (7), which extends in a first direction (X). The main connection screw (7) is engaged with play through the eyelet (60) of the connection flange (6) and has a threaded end portion (72) screwed within a threaded hole (80) of the supporting member (8). The screw (7) is hence oriented in a second direction (Y) orthogonal to the first direction (X). Set between the connection flange (6) and the supporting member (8) is a first arm (91) of an L-shaped bracket (9). The first arm (91) of the L-shaped bracket (9) has a hole (90) traversed with play by the main connection screw (7). The L-shaped bracket (9) moreover has a second arm (92), which is orthogonal to the first arm (91) and has an eyelet (90), which extends in a third direction (Z) orthogonal to the first direction (X) and to the second direction (Y). Engaged within the eyelet (94) of the second arm (92) of the L-shaped bracket (9) is an auxiliary locking screw (10), which is oriented in said first direction (X) and has a threaded end portion (100) screwed within a threaded hole (61) formed in a side wall of the connection flange (6).
