摘要： The present invention is a charge complexing chemical composition that protects metal during polymer removal. The polymer coatings include crosslinked systems by chemical-amplification and photoacid generated (PAG) means as in epoxies. The system includes a solvent, a charge complexing additive, and an acid that creates a protective complex for sensitive metals during the dissolving and rinsing practice needed for processing microelectronic parts. The composition can be utilized with a method for removing partial and fully cured crosslinked coatings that originate from chemical amplification or PAG-epoxy photoimageable coatings.

摘要： In one embodiment, a metal loss inhibitor concentrate is provided which contains water, (A) a component of dissolved organic compounds and polymers that contain at least two hydroxy moieties per molecule and an average of at least 0.4 hydroxy moieties per carbon atom; (B) a thiourea component; and (C) a dissolved component containing aryl and quaternary ammonium moieties; and, optionally: (D) a wetting agent, such as a component of an ethoxylate of an alcohol. Such solutions form useful inhibitor concentrates when combined with aqueous chelating cleaning solutions, wherein such solutions, when contacted with a metal surface, are effective in removing scale, smut and other deposits from the metal surface but exhibit a reduced tendency to attack or unduly etch the metal itself, or to inhibit the subsequent desired oxidation and dissolution of metallic copper deposits.

摘要： To descale the inside of the jacket of a glass-lined vessel (e.g., reaction vessel) or conduit, especially of glass-and-metal, there is used a descaling solution of hydrochloric acid, preferably 5 to 15% by wt., containing 50 to 1,000 ppm of laurylamine, lauryldimethylamine or propargyl alcohol, at a temperature of 40 to 70°C., and optionally containing 0.1 to 5% by wt., of tin (II) chloride.
The cleaning solution is circulated normally for 2 to 6 hours and drained and the jacket rinsed and neutralised with alkali. Iron oxide scale is thus totally removed, without damage by generation of hydrogen gas and without corrosion.
