摘要： The invention relates to a method for dehydrating alkanes, wherein the alkane is guided in a reactor for the dehydration of alkanes via a catalyst, and the process may be carried out adiabatically or non-adiabatically, and the catalyst for dehydration can be regenerated after the reaction phase by means of transferring a gas, wherein said gas is guided via the catalyst after a short rinsing phase using water vapor, and said regeneration gas consists of a gas containing oxygen and of steam, and after regeneration the catalyst is freed of the gas containing oxygen by transferring steam, wherein the duration of the transfer of a gas containing oxygen is significantly reduced as compared to common methods and represents 70% or less of the total regeneration time, and the catalyst has an increased selectivity for forming alkene by means of carrying out the regeneration at a constant activity, and the catalyst is comprised of a metal of the group of platinum metals or of the group VIB of the periodic table of the elements, which is applied to a carrier in the form of a compound or in elementary form, which substantially consists of oxides of the elements of tin, zinc, or aluminum.

摘要： A process for selectively opening naphthenic rings of naphthenic ring-containing compounds in a feedstream wherein at least a portion of the ring compounds in the feedstream are characterized as containing at least one C5 ring having at least one substituent therefrom and wherein the number of carbon atoms for the C5 ring compound is at least 8. The C5 naphthenic rings are opened without significant dealkylation of any pendant substituents on the ring. The hydrocarbon feedstream, containing such compounds, is contacted with a catalyst comprised of an effective amount of a metal selected from Ir, Ru, and Rh and mixtures thereof on a catalyst support, which catalyst when reacted with a feed comprised of 20 wt.% n-pentylcyclopentane in heptane diluent will result in at least a 25 % yield of C10 paraffins and a selectivity to C10 paraffin products of at least 0.80, which selectivity is defined by %C10 paraffin yield/%C10 ring disappearance.

摘要： A C3 to C6 hydrogen cut from a cracking unit is processed for the conversion of olefins to propylene and hexene via autometathesis. The autometathesis of a mixed normal butenes feed in the presence of a metathesis catalyst operates without any ethylene in the feed mix to the metathesis reactor. Some fraction of the 2-butene feed may be isomerized to 1-butene and the 1-butene formed plus the 1-butene in the feed react rapidly with the 2-butene to form propylene and 2-pentene. The feed to the reactor also includes the recycle of the 2-pentene formed in the reactor with unreacted butenes to simultaneously form additional propylene and hexene. In one embodiment, some or all of the 3-hexene formed in the reaction is isomerized to 1-hexene. In another embodiment, some portion of the 3-hexene produced in the main metathesis reaction is reacted with ethylene to produce 1-butene without the need for superfractionation. In another embodiment, the 3-hexene product is hydrogenated and recycled back to the cracking heaters.

Some or all (34) of the 3-hexene (26) formed in the reaction is isomerized to 1-hexene (46). In one embodiment, some portion (72) of the 3-hexene (26) produced in the main metathesis reaction is reacted with ethylene to produce 1-butene (96) without the need for superfractionation.
