摘要： The present invention provides a gallium nitride sintered body and a gallium nitride molded article which have high density and low oxygen content without using a special apparatus. According to the first embodiment, a gallium nitride sintered body, which is characterized by having density of 2.5 g/cm 3 to less than 5.0 g/cm 3 and an intensity ratio of the gallium oxide peak of the (002) plane to the gallium nitride peak of the (002) plane of less than 3%, which is determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, can be obtained. According to the second embodiment, a metal gallium-impregnated gallium nitride molded article, which is characterized by comprising a gallium nitride phase and a metal gallium phase that exist as separate phases and having a molar ratio, Ga/(Ga + N), of 55% to 80%, can be obtained.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a metal matrix composite component (9). It comprises the use of a container (1) having a first compartment (2) and a second compartment (3) interconnected by a passage (4). A porous reinforcement preform (6) is placed in the first compartment (2), and matrix metal (7) is placed in the second compartment (3). The container (1) is then evacuated and sealed. The container (1) and its content is heated to above a melting temperature of the matrix metal (7) at least until the matrix metal (7) has melted. Then a high pressure P is applied to the outside of the container (1) so that at least the second compartment (3) is deformed to such an extent that melted matrix metal (7) is forced to flow via the passage (4) into the first compartment (2) and to infiltrate the porous reinforcement preform (6). The method may preferably be carried out in a hot isostatic pressure vessel (8). The preform (6) may be made from a ceramic or metal material and is typically made from one or more of the following: nanoparticles, microparticles, fibres, wires and 3D woven structure.

摘要： A substrate for an LED light emitting element having a small difference of linear thermal expansion coefficient with the III-V semiconductor crystal constituting an LED, having an excellent thermal conductivity and suitable for high output LEDs. A porous body comprises one or more materials selected from silicon carbide, aluminum nitride, silicon nitride, diamond, graphite, yttrium oxide, and magnesium oxide and has a porosity that is 10 to 50 volume % and a three-point bending strength that is 50 MPa or more. The porous body is infiltrated, by means of liquid metal forging, with aluminum alloy or pure aluminum at an infiltration pressure of 30 MPa or more, cut and/or ground to a thickness of 0.05 to 0.5 mm and to a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.01 to 0.5 µm, then is formed with a metal layer comprising one or more elements selected from Ni, Co, Pd, Cu, Ag, Au, Pt and Sn on its surface to a thickness of 0.5 to 15 µm, so as to thereby produce the composite substrate for the LED light emitting element.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for the preservation of wooden or stone objects by filling the internal cavities of said objects with a curable impregnation liquid, according to which the object is surrounded by a film during the impregnation process. The method comprises the following consecutive steps: a) the object is dried, b) the object is surrounded on all sides by a film, c) the object is introduced into a container, d) the container is filled with a free-flowing filler material for exerting a pressure on the exterior of the film, e) the uppermost region of the film is opened, f) the container is placed in an autoclave, g) impregnation liquid is poured through the upper film opening, h) in the autoclave, alternating pressures are exerted on the object surrounded by the film, said pressures alternating between a vacuum, normal pressure and excess pressure, i) the object is removed once it has been completely impregnated, j) the impregnation liquid is then cured in the object.
