    • A synthetic crystalline aluminositicate composition has the following chemical composition (in terms of molar ratios of oxides);
      0.5-3M 2 /nO:Al 2 O 3 :15-30SiO 2 :0-50H 2 O

      The novel composition is made by maintaining an aqueous solution containing dissolved Si0 2 ; Al 2 O 3 ; Na 2 0 and the metal M in specified ranges of molar ratios at 150 to 200°C under autogeneous pressure for 10 to 40 hours.
      By the practice of this invention, crystalline aluminosilicate of the modernite type possessing a high silica content is produced which is of high commercial value, for example, as a catalyst or molecular sieve.

                Me₂O.Al₂O₃. x SiO₂
