    • A system (100) for use in producing a nanotube mesh structure (200) is provided. The first and second nanotube collection apparatuses (210, 214) are configured to combine the pluralities of nanotubes (120) at an interface (240). The system (100) also includes a first energy source (244) configured to direct energy towards the interface (240) between the pluralities of nanotubes (120), wherein the energy is configured to join the pluralities of nanotubes (120) to form the nanotube mesh structure (200).
