    • Es wird ein vertikales Achssystem beschrieben, mit einem vertikalen Träger (11), einem am Träger vorgesehenen, entlang des Trägers auf- und abbewegbaren Schlitten (12), wobei der Schlitten zum Tragen einer durch das Achssystem zu bewegenden Last ausgelegt ist, mindestens einem mit dem Schlitten verbundenen Gurt (13, 14), unter Verwendung dessen der Schlitten auf und abbewegbar ist, und einer Antriebsvorrichtung, durch welche der mindestens eine Gurt und der damit verbundene Schlitten wunschgemäß bewegbar sind. Das beschriebene Achssystem zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass eine mit dem Schlitten verbundene Fallsicherungsvorrichtung (24) vorgesehen ist, welche bei Bedarf so am Träger oder an einer mit dem Träger verbundenen anderen Systemkomponente festlegbar ist, dass der Schlitten an einer weiteren Bewegung in Bezug zum Träger gehindert wird, und dass eine die Fallsicherungsvorrichtung steuernde Steuervorrichtung vorgesehen ist, welche dazu ausgelegt ist, automatisch ein Festlegen der Fallsicherungsvorrichtung am Träger oder an einer mit dem Träger verbundenen anderen Systemkomponente zu veranlassen, wenn die Bewegung des Schlittens, die durch den Betrieb der Antriebsvorrichtung erfolgen müsste, sich von der tatsächlichen Bewegung des Schlittens unterscheidet.

    • A lift assembly (20) is provided for a platform (22) such as used on a ship. The platform (22) can have four spaced apart hitch points (28A, 28B, 28C and 28D). In one embodiment, the lift assembly (20) includes four trolley drive assemblies (34A, 34B, 34C and 34D), each trolley drive assembly (34A-34D) including a trolley guidable along a guide rail (53), and a drive (36 A, 36B, 36C and 36D) configured to displace the trolley along the guide rail (53), each trolley being coupled to at least one hitch point (28A-28D). In a second embodiment, a tension leveling assembly (82) is provided in a trolley drive assembly (34A-34D) and is configured to couple each of the wire ropes to the trolley and maintain substantially the same amount of tension in each wire rope. In a third embodiment, the lift assembly (20) can be provided on a ship that also includes a vessel (91) for holding water. The lift assembly (20) includes an electric drive (36A-36D) that operates as generator and generates current during lowering of the platform (22). A resistive device (90) is disposed in the vessel (91) and connected to the drive (36A-36D) to receive current, the resistive device (90) being configured to dissipate heat into the vessel (91).

    • The invention relates to a parking device for motor vehicles, comprising two platforms that are arranged one above the other, that can be selectively connected to an access and that comprises a lifting device for raising and lowering said platforms which is in direct or indirect permanent contact with both platforms. Said platforms can be raised and lowered in relation to each other at the point of contact at a fixed vertical distance, and comprise a flexible tension member which is connected directly or indirectly to the lifting device and at least one platform is at a distance from a contact point of the lifting device at the carrier point when said lifting device is lifted. The aim of the invention is to simplify constuction thus improving adjustment. According to the invention, the flexible tension member is active only when the lifting device carries out one part of the lifting movement and is destressed when the remaining part of the movement is carried out such that it does not exert any traction force on the platform.
