摘要： A sheet feeder assembly (1) includes a bottom-feed sheet feeder (3) and a delivery table (5) positioned to receive sheets from the sheet feeder and deliver the sheets one at a time to a top-feed mechanism (205) designed to feed the top sheet of a stack of sheets in a manual feed tray of a printer (7) or the like. The top-feed mechanism includes a lifting support (204) for a stack of sheets. An exit end of the delivery table rests on and moves with the lifting support and delivers sheets one at a time to the top-feed mechanism. A balance mechanism (75) reduces the effective weight of the delivery table.

摘要： An automated banking machine includes a mechanism for accepting deposited items. Deposited items may be provided to the machine in envelopes which are first passed to a user from an envelope storage area (132) in the machine through a transport (124) and which are presented to the user through an opening (244). An envelope storage and dispensing device (134) is operative to assure that only a single envelope is delivered to the user. A user may thereafter include deposit items in the dispensed envelope. Das selbsthemmende Getriebe ermöglicht eine Einstellung der Neigung, ohne das die Gefahr besteht, daß diese Einstellung, wenn sie dann vorgenommen worden ist, wieder verändert wird, beispielsweise durch das Gewicht der Papiere in dem Stapel (Fig.4).

The apparatus comprises an assembly (200, 400, 410) for feeding the mailpieces (20) in a path (A) of travel; a sensor assembly (330, 500) for determining the length of the mailpieces; and a controller (310) in operative communication with the sensor assembly (330, 500) and the feeding assembly (200, 400, 410), the controller for adjusting the gap between a first mailpiece having a measured length and a second mailpiece to: (i) establish a fixed pitch between the first mailpiece and the second mailpiece if the measure length is equal to or less than a predetermined value, or (ii) establish a fixed gap between the first mailpiece and the second mailpiece if the measure length is greater than the predetermined value. The method comprises the steps of feeding the mailpieces (20) in a path (A) of travel; determining the length of the mailpieces; and adjusting the gap between a first mailpiece having a determined length and a second mailpiece to establish a fixed pitch between the first mailpiece and the second mailpiece if the determined length is equal to or less than a predetermined value.
