摘要： An adapter for simultaneously winding multiple spools and a method for using the same. The adapter comprises a body portion having a pair of opposed faces 120, 122 and an outer wall or perimeter 140. Each of the opposed faces 120, 122 may include a plurality of recesses configured to receive a plurality of pins 150 for interconnecting multiple spools. The plurality of pins 150 may be offset such that it provides for the entry hubs 20 of the multiple spools to align with one another. The adapter further includes at least one depression or indentation 142 on the perimeter 140 for providing access to at least a portion of the spool flange 14a, 14b. The depression provides an operator with easy access to insert or apply the finishing end of the welding wire or similar, to the finishing hub 22 of the spools.

摘要： A continuous rod transport system has a reel with a cage (100) and a removable hub (200). The cage has support members (110) interconnected by rings (160) to hold the rod coiled in the cage (100). The removable hub (200) has extending arms (220) that removably attach to the cage's support members (110). Locks (240) on the ends of the arms (220) can removably lock the hub (200) to the cages (100). Because the hub (200) is removable, the cage (100) with coiled rod can be shipped separate from the hub (200), thereby significantly reducing the transportation weight. Preferably, the cage has a diameter of 14-ft so two cages can be held on a stand and can be transported in overseas containers. In this way, the coiled rod in the cage can be transported to various areas in less costly and time-consuming ways than currently available.

摘要： The invention relates to a cardboard tube which is applied against a rotating former by means of a narrow marginal end zone thereof having a hollow rim. Said rotating former is provided with a concave surface that is designed to form a perimeter step that extends inward by constriction of said narrow marginal zone. The diameter of the vertical face of said step is equal to the internal diameter of the aforementioned cardboard tube. Simultaneously, a force is applied against said hollow rim that is sufficiently strong in order to crush the hollow part of same and to apply the wall thereof against the inner face of the projecting end wall of the cardboard tube which is shaped by the action of said rotating former.
