    • The aim of the invention is to transfer plastic bags (1) to a collector (4) in a bag producing machine. To this end, devices are known comprising an impeller (6) consisting of a central hollow shaft (7) which is connected to a rotational drive (9) and a low pressure source. A plurality of impellers (8) are fixed to the hollow shaft (7) in a radially interspaced manner. The inside of said impellers is embodied as a suction channel (10) and a longitudinal side of the impellers has a suction surface (16) comprising a plurality of suction openings (11). In order to improve the suction force on the impellers (8), the suction surface (16) of the impellers (8) contains suction openings (11) having a diameter of between 3 mm and 12 mm, preferably between 6 mm and 9 mm. The open part formed by the suction openings (11), on the entire suction surface (16), amounts to more than 3 %, preferably more than 5 %. According to another embodiment, the impellers (8) of the suction channel (10) have a reduced cross-section in the region below the suction surface (16).
