摘要： A packaging unit for hygiene articles that is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface comprises an edge zone comprising an inner edge portion and an outer edge portion. At least one of the outer and inner edge portions comprises at least one region provided with a resealable adhesive. The sheet has at least one folding axis dividing said sheet into a first and second regions region. The sheet is folded about said at least one folding axis with said first and second regions in an overlapping configuration, thereby providing a packaging unit. Overlapping outer edge portions of the sheet layers are at least partly adhesive-free and are at least partially connected to each other by a mechanical interaction providing a sealing strength of 0.2 to 1.5 N. A method for forming the packaging unit is provided.

摘要： A method of producing a bag comprising the steps of:
a) continuously feeding a web of plastics material along an apparatus from an input end thereof, the web having a reference mark printed thereon;
b) operating a castellated rotary blade as the reference mark reaches a predetermined point to perform one of disengagement or engagement with the web, in order to define a perforated cut substantially parallel to the direction of feed;
c) operating the rotary blade after a predetermined length of the web has passed the blade to perform the other of engagement or disengagement of the blade with the web, to define the perforated cut;
d) cutting and welding the bag from the web, the bag having side edges substantially perpendicular to the direction of feed from the web;
wherein the reference mark is located and the predetermined length is such that the perforated cut does not extend to either side edge.

The first longitudinal end zone includes at least two adjacent, in the direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the elongated sheet, resealable adhesive coating strings that extend along the length of the first longitudinal end zone and the strings are arranged such that a central adhesive free area is formed. This adhesive area functions as a gripping gap. A method of forming the packaging unit is also described.

Further, one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is provided with adhesive, and the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is adhesive-free in a complementary manner to the edge zone of the first region. Thus, when the sheet is folded about the folding axis, the edge portions carrying adhesive in the first region are brought in contact with the adhesive-free edge portions in the second region, and the edge portions carrying adhesive in the second region are brought in contact with the adhesive-free edge portions in the first region.

摘要： The present invention provides a packaging unit for hygiene articles and a method of forming such a unit. The packaging unit is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the inner surface comprises an edge zone comprising an inner edge portion and an outer edge portion. Further, the inner edge portion or the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region corresponding to the adhesive-carrying edge portion of the first region is adhesive-free, such that when the sheet is folded about the first folding axis,the edge portions carrying resealable adhesive in the first region are brought in contact with the adhesive-free edge portions in the second region. A distance between the at least one first folding axis and the first adhesive zone is 1-20mm, preferably 2-18mm, more preferably 3-15mm.

摘要： Non-durable self-supporting flexible containers having product volumes and structural support volumes are provided with a valve mechanism to facilitate dispensing fluid product from the product support volume. One or more tension-inducing elements may be used to provide the valves with the ability to permit dispensing of fluid product from the product volume upon application of greater than a minimum threshold but less than a maximum threshold of squeeze force to an exterior of the flexible container. The valve may also be re-closable to prevent fluid product from being dispensed subsequent to use. The flexible container may further be provided with a product sensory experience sampling mechanism to provide for consumer interaction with one or more characteristics of the fluid product contained in the product volume without compromising the integrity of the product volume.
