    • A tiltable and retractable gangway for boats has a box-like load-bearing structure (1), inside which a longitudinally movable carriage (7) is lockable in a desired position, a gangway tilting part (29) in the form of a tube hinged with the carriage (7) and a gangway retractable part (34). The carriage (7) has inside at least one linear actuator (16) provided with a rod (17) carrying at its free end a wedge member (20) having a horizontal upper surface (22s) and a lower surface (22i) tapering upwards in contact with the carriage (7) and the gangway tilting part (29) respectively, to establish and change the inclination of the gangway tilting part (29).

    • A vessel generally in the form of a tanker or tank barge, the vessel having means for dynamically positioning thereof, to allow the vessel to approach an offshore facility, and deploy a gangway to it, allowing crew to transfer onto the facility, thereby making crew available to a normally unmanned facility. There is also provided a vessel comprising a hull having a bottom section adapted to be received by the surface of a body of water, the bottom section comprising at least one first and second helical propellers, the first helical propellers located adjacent the bow of hull and the second helical propellers located adjacent the stern of the hull. Moreover, there is provided a hose spooling device wherein the device is adapted to be connected to the facility for loading or unloading of hydrocarbons through paying out a hose over or near to the bow of the vessel.

    • The invention is directed to a method and system of providing access between a floating vessel and a landing position of a marine structure by performing the following steps: (a) positioning the vessel near the marine structure, (b) picking up two parts of a mooring cable, which mooring cable extends from the marine structure and which mooring cable can run freely via a position at the landing position of the marine structure, (c) attaching one part end of the mooring cable to the extendable end of an telescopically extendable bridge, which bridge is attached at or near its other end to the floating vessel and attaching the second part of the mooring cable to a winch fixed to the floating vessel, (d) winding in the winch such that the extendable end of the bridge is pulled towards the landing position until the extendable end of the bridge reaches the landing position and (e) maintaining a pull force on the mooring cable such that the extendable end of the bridge remains positioned at the landing position enabling safe access between the floating vessel and the marine structure.
