摘要： A rotary cutter (41) separates a molten plastic pellet from a nozzle (60) and deposits the molten plastic pellet into a mold cavity (31). The cutter (41) includes a cutter blade (74) and a cutter shaft (40) rotatable about an axis of the shaft. The cutter blade (74) is mounted to extend radially from an end of the shaft (40), the shaft positionable adjacent the nozzle (60) such that the rotary path of the cutter blade (74) closely conforms to a facing surface (62) of the nozzle (60). An air conduit (192) extends through the cutter shaft (40) to the cutter blade (74). An air orifice in communication with the air conduit (192) is oriented to direct a stream of air radially along the cutter blade (74) to displace a molten plastic pellet from the cutter blade (74) with a stream of pressurized air. The delivery of pressurized air is precisely timed to displace the pellet from the cutter blade (74) and into the mold cavity (31).

摘要： A method of feeding a molten resin mass, which is capable of causing a molten resin mass to fall down into a female mold for compression molding without delay in the timing from a cylindrical transfer guide that cuts a portion of a molten resin extruded from a die head of an extruder and transfers it to a female mold for compression forming, and an apparatus therefor. The apparatus for feeding the molten resin mass has a cylindrical transfer guide which transfers a molten resin mass obtained by cutting a predetermined amount of a molten resin extruded from a die head of an extruder to a female mold for compression molding, wherein the transfer guide is provided with vibration-generating means for imparting vibration to the transfer guide. In the method of feeding the molten resin mass, the pressure in the cylindrical transfer guide is set to be higher than the pressure in the female mold for compression molding.
