摘要： The invention relates to a dentition retaining assembly that includes a joint between a holding member such as a labial bow and a supporting member. The holding member includes at least one hole located near each end, each of which are secured to a wire supporting member. The wire supporting member is secured to the bow by threading its end through the hole of the bow where the shape of the proximal end of the wire is substantially U-shaped. These features of the holding member, supporting members and the manner in which each end of the holding member is attached to the supporting member allows for greater support and alignment of the teeth by allowing for a wide labial bow while still maintaining a small diameter of the supporting member so as be aesthetically pleasing.

摘要： An apparatus (10) for forming a wave form for a stent from a wire (12) includes a pair of tension wires (18, 20) configured to rotate about an axis. The tension wires and axis are substantially orthogonal to the stent wire disposed in a gap between the tension wires. When the tension wires are rotated, a bend (22) is formed in the portion of the stent wire disposed between the tension wires. The tension wires may be controlled such that the axis of rotation is aligned with the particular tension wire around which the stent wire is to be bent for each particular bend formed in the stent wire, thereby preventing the particular tension wire from translating during rotation such that the tension wire behaves like a rotary pipe bending die around which the stent wire is bent. A feed assembly (14) feeds the stent wire into the forming area between the tension wires.

摘要： A retrieval snare for entrapping and retaining a foreign object located in a body and a method for manufacturing of the snare are provided. The snare comprises a structure having a proximal portion and a distal portion and includes a plurality of filaments. The filaments extend from an end of the proximal portion towards the distal portion and return to the end of the proximal portion to form a plurality of loops (14). The loops are not interconnected at the distal portion, but each side of each loop are connected to a side of an adjacent loop in the proximal portion at more than one point (21), thereby providing structural rigidity and dilatation ability to the snare.

The first wire extends downwardly from the top to the bottom of the stent without interlocking with itself but extends upwardly from the bottom to the top of the stent while interlocking with itself to leave a multiplicity of rhombic spaces. Similarly, the second wire extends downwardly from the top to the bottom of the stent without interlocking with itself but extends upwardly from the bottom to the top of the stent while interlocking with itself, in such a manner as to divide the rhombic spaces formed by the first wire into four small rhombic spaces. The first wire and the second wire are woven with each other in such a manner that the second wire passes alternately below and above the first wire at intersection points.
