摘要： A feed center for powder coating material includes a hopper, an extraction duct, and a control valve. The hopper is connectable in fluid communication with a fluidizing pressure source. The extraction duct is connectable in fluid communication with at least one suction source. The control valve connects the extraction duct with an extraction port of the hopper. The control valve is operable between a first position for applying suction from the at least one suction source to the hopper, and a second position providing an exterior opening in at least one of the control valve and the first extraction duct for exhausting pressurized fluid from the hopper and/or collecting at least some of the air and powder that is exhausted from the powder.

摘要： A capsule dusting system is designed to expose capsules to a dusting agent in a controlled manner. The system incorporates a tumbling basket positioned within an enclosure. The tumbling basket is loaded with capsules and is rotatably connected to a drive shaft. A dust injection system meters the dusting agent into the dust injection system. The dust injection system may include a dusting injector that translates between two positions. At one position, the dusting injector is loaded with dusting agent by a powder supply system. At the other position, the dusting injector is positioned to inject the dusting agent into the tumbling basket. A gas is fluidly connected to the dusting injector to cause the dusting agent to disperse into the tumbling basket. The enclosure contains the dusting agent within the system to reduce the environmental, health, and safety hazards associated with airborne particulates.

摘要： An apparatus for applying a coating to the head-shank junction of externally threaded fasteners (12) in an automated fashion. The fasteners (12) are positioned, head down, on rotating part holders (30) positioned about the periphery of a rotating disc (25). The part holders (30) may be magnetic or other forms, and are adapted to maintain the fasteners (12) in a generally fixed position during their movement. The fasteners (12) are pre-heated at a heating station (70) during their rotational movement on the disc (25). A dispenser (50) is then used to apply the coating to the articles (12), in timed sequence to the movement of the articles (12). In this fashion, a coating can be applied to selected portions of the entire periphery of the head-shank junction. A method for applying a coating to the head-shank junction of externally threaded fasteners (12) in an automated fashion also form part of the present invention.
