摘要： The present invention provides a connector in which a valve can be opened without inserting a tip end of a pipe into a flow path of a housing. The connector of the present invention includes a housing and a valve, wherein the housing has a flow path and a pipe connecting port, and the valve is formed of an elastic material and is adapted to block the pipe connecting port. The valve has a substantially columnar deformable portion and a flange-like fixing piece that protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the deformable portion. The deformable portion has a top surface exposed from the pipe connecting port, a bottom surface opposite to the top surface, and a slit that reaches from the top surface to the bottom surface. The fixing piece is provided between the top surface and the bottom surface, and is to be fixed to the housing. When the top surface is pressed by the pipe, the deformable portion of the valve will be displaced toward the flow path while elastically deforming, so that inner surfaces that define the slit will face the flow path, and the top surface will form an opening that communicates with the flow path.

The aseptic connector assembly includes a body portion, the body portion having a receptacle configured to receive a corresponding fill connector; a pivot portion adjustably disposed within and extending partially from the body portion, the pivot portion having a channel formed therein; and a conduit portion axially slidably disposed within the channel formed in the pivot portion. The pivot portion comprises a ready position and an operative position, the pivot portion being adjustable from the ready position to the operative position via relative movement with respect to the body portion. The method includes providing an aseptic connector in a ready position, coupling a flexible tubing and a fill connector to the aseptic connector, moving a pivot portion to an operative position, axially sliding the conduit portion into the fill connector, and transferring a fluid through the connector.
