摘要： The present invention is directed to a low-linting laminated nonwoven fabric (26) comprised of a reticulated film layer (12) and an associated absorbent layer (10), which is suitable for medical, hygiene, and industrial applications, wherein said nonwoven fabric (26) performs to absorb liquids, such as human exudates, while significantly reducing the amount of particulates released. The reticulated film (12) of the invention is comprised of a series or network of small, geometrically profiled, depressed areas, wherein the depressed areas of the film are able to collect liquids such as blood, and channel such liquids through openings in the film layer (12) into the associated absorbent layer (10).

摘要： A composite sheet is provided that includes a first fibrous layer having a first side and an opposite second side, and a second fibrous layer bonded to the first side of the first fibrous layer. The first fibrous layer is a multiple component meltblown web comprised of at least 95 % by weight of meltblown fibers having an average effective diameter of less than 10 microns. The meltblown web is comprised of 10 % to 98 % by weight polyethylene and 90 % to 2 % by weight of a synthetic fiber forming polymer having a melt temperature greater than 140 °C or a glass transition temperature of at least 40 °C. The second fibrous layer is comprised of at least 95 % by weight of second layer fibers having an average effective diameter that is greater than the average effective diameter of the meltblown fibers of the first fibrous layer. The composite sheet has a basis weight of less than 120g/m2, a grab tensile strength of at least 35 N, and a hydrostatic head of at least 10 cm.

In particular, the systems and apparatuses disclosed herein prevent or otherwise mitigate pressure by actively orienting a patient over an anatomy-specific pressure-mitigating contact surface on which the patient rests. A pressure-mitigating contact portion of the contact surface includes a plurality of independently pressurized chambers configured in a specific geometric pattern that is designed to mitigate contact pressure between a support surface (e.g., bed or chair) and a specific anatomic region of a patient's body when the specific anatomic region of the patient's body is oriented over an epicenter of the geometric pattern. Additionally, a plurality of elevated side support portions and a wedge interconnected on the base material are configured to actively orient the specific anatomic region of the patient's body over the epicenter of the geometric pattern.

摘要： An adhesive bandage, wound dressing, suture-like mechanism, or surgical drape for use over a wound is made from a laminate structure of flexible rubber, a hydrophilic hydrogel polymer bonded to one side of the flexible rubber, and an adhesive bonded to the hydrophilic hydrogel polymer along at least a first section of the adhesive bandage, wound dressing, suture-like mechanism, or surgical drape. The adhesive is preferably a hydrogel adhesive with a cellulosic, polyurethane or polyacrylate base, while the flexible rubber is preferably rubber which is pretreated with hydrogel polymer prior to curing. A medicament such as CPC or BAK can be bonded to the hydrophilic hydrogel polymer along the non-adhesive portion of the adhesive bandage, wound dressing or surgical drape to provide slow release medication, and if desired, movable plastic may be provided to cover the adhesive portions. In one embodiment, the adhesive bandage (10) is a laminate comprised of a flexible elastomer (15) to which on one side is bonded a hydrogel polymer coating (20). An adhesive (25) is bonded to at least certain sections of hydrogel polymer coating (20).
