摘要： Soft thermal treatment for tranferring heat to the limbs. The cushion consists of a fabric (preferably cotton) envelope enclosing cereal grains, preferably oats. Preferably, the oats' water content is precisely controlled so as to evolve within a range of 9 to 14 % by total weight of the oats. The quantity of oat grains inside the cotton envelope must be sufficient to obtain a homogenous distribution of the oats within the chamber defined by the cotton envelope, after its deformation, so that localized grainless vacuums are prevented from forming. In order to be used, the cushion is subjected to preliminary heating inside a microwave oven for approximately two minutes, at the maximum temperature. By virtue of heat inertia, the oats continue to diffuse heat to the limb for approximately half an hour. Another application of the cushion consists in placing it in the freezer for at least four to six hours, so as the cause the resorption of an edematous region of an edematous region of a mammal's limb by slow cold diffusion.
