According to the invention, at least the following steps are provided: - arranging the cam elements (13) and the switching element (14) on the carrier tube (12), the bearing segment (15) thus being formed, in order to provide the sliding element (11) outside the module housing (10); - cutting the carrier tube (12) into two parts (A, B) in the region of the bearing segment (15) by means of a cutting method; - arranging a connecting sleeve (17) on one of the two parts (A, B); - inserting one of the two parts (A, B) into the bearing bridge (16) in the module housing (10); and - joining the other part (A, B) to the part (A, B) inserted into the bearing bridge (16).
