    • The invention relates to a device for mounting a module on a turnable steering wheel of a motor vehicle in such a manner that the angular position of the module remains constant when the steering wheel is turned. The device comprises: a reversing gearing with a first gearing element of the reversing gearing, which is attached to a part of the motor vehicle fixed to said vehicle; a second gearing element of the reversing gearing, which can be fixed to the module and can be turned together with the module, and; a gearing subassembly, which can be actuated by turning the steering wheel and via which the first gearing element is coupled with the second gearing element in such a manner that a turning of the steering wheel relative to the first gearing element along a turning direction is converted into a turning of the module connected to the second gearing element relative to the steering wheel in the opposite direction. The device also comprises: a first electrical contact unit (20), which is combined with the first gearing element (11) to form a subassembly (B1) and is connected in a fixed manner to the part attached to the vehicle; a second electrical contact unit (21), which is combined with the second gearing element (12) to form a subassembly (B3) and is connected to the module (30) in a fixed manner, and; electrical connecting means for connecting the first electrical contact unit (20) to the second electrical contact unit (21).

    • The invention relates to an airbag module (6) for a motor vehicle, said module comprising an airbag (1) that can be inflated with gas for the protection of a passenger, along a main deployment direction (H) towards the passenger to be protected; an airbag inlet (3) via which the airbag can be inflated with gas; a peripheral edge region (3a) of the inlet (3), defining a surface (F); a gas generator (8) used to generate the gas for inflating the airbag (1), said gas flowing out of at least one gas outlet of the gas generator (8) and entering the airbag (1) through the inlet (3); and a generator carrier (12) which is used to carry the gas generator (8) and comprises a bottom (12e) extending along the surface (F), to which the gas generator (8) is fixed. The bottom (12e) separates an inner region (I) of the airbag module (6) from an outer region (A) surrounding the airbag module (6), in the opposite direction to the main deployment direction (H). According to the invention, the surface (F) defined by the edge region (3a) is located at a distance from the bottom (12e) of the generator carrier (12) in the main deployment direction (H).

    • The invention relates to an airbag module for a motor vehicle, having an airbag which is provided as an airbag package and can be inflated by means of a gas generator in order to protect a vehicle occupant who is located on a seat of a motor vehicle, said airbag having a sleeve which surrounds an interior of the airbag; having a module receptacle on which the airbag is accommodated as an airbag package; having a covering surface of the airbag module, which, when the airbag module is correctly installed in a motor vehicle, is arranged in the motor vehicle in such a way that the covering surface faces the assigned seat; and having an airbag module cover which extends along the covering surface. According to the invention there is provision that at least one layer (40), forming a component of the airbag sleeve, of the airbag (4) extends in front of the outer surface (21), facing the seat, of the cover (2), and that components (40, 40a), arranged in front of the outer surface (21) of the cover (2), of the airbag module remain connected to the airbag sleeve when the airbag (4) inflates provided that they are not located between the outer surface (21) of the cover (2) and the at least one airbag layer (40).

    • The invention relates to an airbag module (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a gas bag (S) which can be inflated by means of gas to protect a passenger, a gas generator (G) that makes it possible to release the gas required for inflating the gas bag (S), a module housing (M) which surrounds the gas generator (G) and particularly encompasses at least one through-hole (O') that can be connected in a gas-conducting manner to the gas bag (S) such that gas generated by the gas generator (G) can flow out of the through-hole (O') and reach the gas bag (S), and at least one outlet (O) which is disposed on the module housing (M) and to which a first element (E) is assigned that can be moved between at least two different positions. Said first element (E) closes the outlet (O) in a starting position while opening the outlet (O) by moving the first element (E) from the starting position into a final position such that the gas generated by the gas generator (G) is conducted at least in part into an exterior space (A) which surrounds the airbag module (1). Furthermore, a second element (E') which can be moved at least between two different positions and can be moved from a starting position into a final position to close the open outlet (O) is allocated to the at least one outlet (O). Alternatively, a second element (E') which can be moved at least between two different positions is associated with the at least one through-hole (O'), said through-hole (O') being open in a starting position of the second element (E') while being closable by moving the movable second element (E') into a final position such that gas generated by the gas generator (G) cannot reach the gas bag (S) through the through-hole (O').
