    • The invention relates to a parting tool for the chip removing machining of metal blanks. The tool comprises a blade (3) and a replaceable cutting insert (4) mounted in a seat, which is delimited between a bottom support and an elastically resilient clamping finger (8). The cutting insert includes an upper side, in which there is included a front rake surface (22) as well as an application surface (23), which is positioned behind the same and against which the clamping finger (8) is pressed. In the clamping finger, a flushing channel (48) is included to spray a cooling medium toward the rake surface (22), a front nose of the clamping finger facing a shoulder, which is formed between the rake surface (22) and the application surface (23) and has the purpose of protecting the nose from chips. According to the invention, said shoulder consists of two knobs (41), which are mutually separated by a central notch (42), via which cooling medium can pass from the flushing channel (48) toward the rake surface (22).

    • The invention relates to a turning tool comprising a basic body (1) as well as an indexable turning insert (2) having a triangular basic shape, which is fixed in an insert seat (4) in the basic body. The turning insert is formed with three side surfaces (20) that are situated in an imaginary, equilateral triangle and therefore converge in pairs at an angle of 60° toward corners in which cutting edges (22) are included. The last-mentioned members (28) are located in a second, imaginary triangle having an equilateral shape, which is smaller than the first-mentioned triangle and rotated in relation to the same.
