摘要： A display apparatus and an image processing method thereof are disclosed. A display apparatus includes a display unit; a signal processor which classifies an image comprising a left eye image and a right image into one of a first image and a second image according to a predetermined brightness level, generates at least two sub frames including a white frame if the image is classified into a first image, generates at least two sub frames comprising a black frame if the image is classified into a second image, and outputs the generated sub frames to the display unit. Λ signal transmitter outputs, to external shutter glasses, a control signal corresponding to the left eye image and the right eye image.

摘要： Three-dimensional (3D) glasses, a method for controlling 3D glasses, and a method for controlling an on/off operation of the 3D glasses are provided. The 3D glasses rotate a glass unit based on sensed motion information to maintain a polarization direction of the glass unit in a particular direction. Therefore, a user may view 3D images in various positions. 摘要： A display apparatus and a method of adjusting brightness thereof. The display apparatus displays an image, and includes a light emitting unit (320) divided into a predetermined number of portion areas, so that brightness is adjusted according to the respective portion areas. A driving unit (310) is connected to the light emitting unit (320) to adjust brightness of each of the portion areas of the light emitting unit (320). A control unit (200) calculates representative values to be applied in adjusting the brightnesses of the portion areas of the light emitting unit (320) in response to an inputted image signal, compensates the representative values with a contrast enhancement method, and outputs the compensated representative values to the driving unit (310). The display apparatus adjusts the representative values to be applied for adjusting the brightnesses of the portion areas of a backlight and/ or gamma-corrects the inputted image to compensate for increases and decreases in brightness.
