摘要： A navigation device which performs map-matching for checking the current position detected by a position detection means against a road on a map, and displays, when a road matching the current position is found, the name of the road on a display means or displays, when a matching road is not found, location information showing the current position on the display means. In addition, when the current position detected by a position detection means is checked against a road on a map for map-matching and the name of a road cannot be displayed on a display means, location information is displayed instead. Further, the device checks as to whether or not power is supplied from an outside power source and, when power supply from an outside power source is confirmed by an outside power detection means, map-matching is performed or, when power supply from the outside power source is not confirmed, the map-matching is not performed.
