摘要： A high pressure fuel pump (16) encompasses at least one conveyor space (32) and one high pressure discharge unit (26). In addition, a pressure limiting valve (42) with a valve that is actuated by the pressure difference (56) is provided that can open from the high pressure discharge unit (26) to the conveyor space (32). From the point of view of the valve seating (54) of the pressure limiting valve (42),it is recommended that a choke arrangement (64) is provided at its high pressure side, whose free cross section (FD1)is at most approximately equal to a desired maximum opening cross section of the pressure limiting valve (42).
