    • The invention relates to a pressure valve for installing in a feed pipe (7) between a pump working chamber (9) of a fuel-injection pump and an injection point (11) on the internal combustion engine to be supplied with fuel. The pressure valve comprises a valve body (13) with a first valve seat (17) and an axial through channel, a pressure valve closing member (19) which opens in the direction of the injection point (11), against the force of a first valve spring (23) located in said through channel (15). The pressure valve closing member (19) has a sealing surface (21) which works in conjunction with the first valve seat (17). The pressure valve also has an axial through bore (25) in the pressure valve closing member (19). This through bore (25) can be closed by a return valve (27), said return valve opening in the direction of the pump working chamber (9) and having a second valve spring (33). A fuel channel is formed between the radially exterior peripheral surfaces of each of the first and second valve springs (23, 33) and the housing walls surrounding them for the fuel to flow through without being throttled, thus ensuring an optimal unthrottled flow of fuel through the pressure valve.

The inventive valve comprises at least one moveable valve member which is configured as a valve ball (31) and which can be brought to rest on a valve seat surface (29) by means of a return spring (33). A spring plate (35) is provided between the return spring (33) and the valve ball (31). Said spring plate has a concave surface (43) for guiding the valve ball (31) and a bearing surface for the return spring (33), the bearing surface being turned away from the concave surface (43). The concave surface (43) that guides the valve ball (31) should be interrupted on the spring plate (35).
