    • A wiper blade for cleaning motor vehicle windshields has an elastic, elongated supporting element (12) for an elongated wiping strip made of a flexible material and supported on the windshield to be wiped. The wiping strip has at its longitudinal sides mutually opposite longitudinal grooves in which are located longitudinal rails (28, 30) of the supporting element (12) which are mutually spaced apart. The medium section of the supporting element has a connection device for a driven wiper arm and the cross-section of both longitudinal rails diminishes from their central area towards the ends of the rails. A particularly easy-to-mount wiper blade is obtained if the supporting element has two separate, mutually parallel longitudinal rails (28, 30) arranged in a common plane and whose both ends are mutually joined by a clip (50) designed as a separate element.

    • The invention relates to a wiper blade (10) designed to clean the glass panels of motor vehicles. The wiper blade has an elongated rubber-elastic wiper strip (14) which can be placed on the glass to be wiped. Said strip is arranged substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis on an spring-elastic, strip-like support element (12) located on the surface facing the glass. The support element (12) is connected to a spring-loadable wiper arm that is driven transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade. In order to obtain the required wiper blade contact pressure to provide the stipulated clean wiped surface even at high driving speeds, the wiper blade is fitted with a flow surface (36 or 60) facing the direction of air flow (arrow 38) and extending in longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the glass. When seen transversely from its longitudinal direction, said surface forms an acute angle with the glass.
