    • Apparatus for dividing a long dough mass (200) into dough portions (210) of a predetermined length, and forming a continuous dough strip from the respective dough portions. A first transporter (20) transports the long dough mass (200) along a first conveying path (21). The first transporter includes a rotary cutter (31) for dividing the long dough mass into dough portions. A second transporter (40) receives the dough portions from the first transporter and transports them along a second conveying path (41). The first and second conveying paths are arranged so that the lengths of the dough portions extend substantially parallel to the width of the said continuous strip.     • A method and apparatus for supplying a uniform strip of bread dough is provided in which a dough mass (1) flows downward from a dough hopper (3), a dough portion of the flowing dough mass is laterally spread on an outlet conveyor (20) having a weighing table (19), dough portions are cut and divided from the dough mass (1) into dough pieces when a predetermined degree of the spread of the dough mass (1) is detected by a dough-detecting device (18), simultaneously the weight of the dough piece is measured, the dough piece is then transferred from the outlet conveyor to a supply conveyor (21), the divided dough pieces are arranged on the supply conveyor at intervals proportionate to the weights of the dough pieces, and they are stretched to make a strip of bread dough.
