摘要： A zipper arrangement for use in manufacturing thermoplastic bags that includes a zipper and at least one slider. The zipper includes first and second opposing tracks. The first track has a first profile and the second track has a second profile. The first and second profiles are releasably engageable to each other. The first track has one or more spaced primary notches interrupting the first profile. At least one slider is inserted onto the first profile via a respective one of the primary notches. The slider is adapted to engage and disengage the first and second profiles in response to movement along the zipper. The second track may have one or more spaced primary notches interrupting the second profile. The spaced primary notches of the second track are generally aligned to respective ones of the primary notches of the first track. At least one slider is inserted onto the aligned pairs of primary notches via a respective one of the generally aligned notches.

摘要： A slider-operated fastener (10) comprises first and second opposing tracks (12, 14) including respective first and second interlocking profiles (16, 18) and respective first and second fins (20, 22) extending downward from the respective first and second profiles (16, 18). The first and second fins (20, 22) are sealed to each other by a plurality of spaced preseals (28). After generating each preseal (28), a notch (38) is formed in the profiles and upper portions of the fins (20, 22) at the generated preseal (28). To install a slider (40) is initially positioned within the respective notch (38) and then threaded onto the fastener (10) in response to relative movement of the slider (40) and the fastener. Either before or after the steps of forming each preseal (28) and respective notch (38) and installing the respective slider (40), the fastener (10) is attached to a moving web (50) of plastic film (52). The fastener-carrying web (50) is later folded and sealed to form individual plastic bags (80).

摘要： A slider (10) is adapted for use with a reclosable fastener (12) for bags containing material. The reclosable fastener (12) includes a first track (14) and a second track (16). The first track (14) includes a first profile (18), while the second track (16) includes a second profile (20). The first and second profiles (18,20) are releasably engageable to each other. At least one of the first and second profiles (18,20) has an interior portion. The slider (10) comprises a body (50) that includes a top, a first side, a second side and a separation member (52a) on an underside of the top. The separation member (52a) is adapted to open and close the fastener (12) and includes a slider finger (52b) that extends generally downwardly from the top. The slider finger (52b) extends into an interior portion of the first profile (18) so as to assist in removing material trapped in the interior portion of the first profile (18) when closing the reclosable fastener.

To provide tamper evidence, the first and second tracks may be joined to each other along an area of weakness. When making the package, the first track is first attached to the first panel, the package is filled with a product via a fill opening between the second track and the second panel, and then the second track is attached to the second panel.
